You’ll work closely with the experienced and approachable HR Director as part of a small HR team, providing expert advice and support across the business. This role is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract, concluding in December 2025, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. Your Role: As the HR Advisor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: Managing end-to-end recruitment: writing and posting job ads, shortlisting, phone screening, scheduling and conducting interviews (as needed), reference checks, and handling candidate feedback. Drafting change of employment and compliance letters, such as casual conversion letters. Preparing statements of service upon request. Assisting with HR projects, including implementing and rolling out the new HRIS (Martian Logic). Organising and decluttering the shared electronic filing system. Reviewing and updating organisational policies. Handling staff queries, including requests for salary reviews. About You: You are a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You thrive in collaborative environments and are quick to adapt to new systems and processes. Passionate about delivering positive outcomes, you are values-driven and committed to initiatives that enhance employee well-being and engagement. With prior experience as an HR Advisor, your tertiary qualifications in HR will be highly regarded. Requirements: Proven experience in an HR Advisor role for at least 3 years. A valid Working with Children Check and Police Check. Availability to work 3–4 days per week (Must be available to work Fridays) Ability to work fully onsite in Canterbury (no WFH).
