To learn more please visit www.serco.com/ahscAbout the RoleUnder the supervision and prescription of the Dentist/Dental Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day provision of quality oral hygiene advice and dental hygiene services to patients in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as maintenance of patient records as well as sterilisation and infection control procedures and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.To be successful in this role, you will have:The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.The ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.About LavarackLavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. This facility provides primary medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to Defence members, and consists of a 24/7 inpatient ward.
