As a Technical Director in the water sector, you'll be working alongside talented colleagues who support each other in their professional and personal journeys.
We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating a workplace that is welcoming to all genders and backgrounds.What You'll Lead and Deliver:In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams in delivering a program of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
You'll work on a range of exciting and impactful projects across Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, bringing sustainable solutions to water systems that communities rely on.Lead with Expertise: Lead professional services of a large water utilities program delivering hundreds of million dollars of capital infrastructure annually by a team of ~100 Engineers and Professionals.
The program includes portfolios of renewals projects and large scale capital projects across all asset classes including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plant upgrades for both water and wastewater, across whole project lifecycle from planning and design through to construction and commissioning support.Client-Centric Leadership: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with innovative, cost-effective, sustainable solutions.Risk Management: Lead and participate in risk management processes.Sustainability & Standards: Ensure designs meet industry standards (WSA, AS, etc.
), while focusing on sustainable solutions that create long-term value for communities.What You'll Bring to the Table:This role requires a strong engineering background and leadership capability, as well as a collaborative, client-focused approach.
You'll bring:Experience in Water Infrastructure: At least 10 years in the water industry, with strong experience in both small and large-scale projects.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams, with a focus on professional development and inclusivity.Design Expertise: Experience across the full project lifecycle, from concept design and detailed design through to commissioning.Communication & Relationship Building: Strong communication skills with a track record of building and nurturing positive client relationships.Qualifications: A degree in civil, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
