Hahn Electrical Contracting are currently seeking anElectronic Engineering Technician to join our engineering team in our Kalgoorlie office.This position would suit an experienced Technician seeking to advance their career within the mining industry. This is a residential role NOTFIFO. Only candidates willing to relocate to the Kalgoorlie region will be considered. A generous relocation package will be offered to suitable candidates. The Position In the position of Electronic Engineering Technician you will contribute to a dynamic team, working on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects associated with surface and underground mining electrical and controls systems including HV & LV reticulation, ventilation, instrumentation and PLC control systems. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Assemble, install, and test electrical equipment Assist Electrical Engineers with design and layout of electrical installations on substations, switchgear, and cabling systems Modify and repair electrical equipment Assist with estimating material costs and quantities Assist with drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical equipment Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations. To be suitable for this position you require the following: Recognised work history in a comparable role of aminimum of 5 years (desirable) Knowledge of Australian Drafting and Design Standards and codes of practices relevant to both industrial, underground mining and engineering standards. Familiarity with the Underground mining environment and associated electrical and controls distribution systems would be a distinct advantage for design & drafting on both green and grown field sites An understanding of and ability to design, programme and fault find on PLC/DCS system control circuits Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, technical staff and lead engineers Current WA Drivers Licence (essential) Current National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one In return you will be rewarded with: Supportive and proactive management On the job training and growth within the mining industry Income protection insurance (conditions apply) Employee Assistance Program Novated Leasing Options (conditions apply) To apply for this position, click the 'Apply now' button.
