We are excited to share that Bellarine Community Health are now recruiting for an ongoing Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Early Career (Grade 1).New graduates, recent graduates, or OT's who are wanting to work more with children should apply.This role is Full Time, however Part Time applications will also be considered.About us Bellarine Community Health (BCH) is the major provider of primary health care services to the Bellarine Peninsula.BCH is a not-for-profit health care provider with close links to our community operating from five sites across the Bellarine.About the team The Child Health and Development team (CHAD) provide a multidisciplinary allied health service for children and young people primarily aged 0-12 years.It is comprised of a dynamic, collaborative and friendly team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists, a play therapist, and a child and family engagement practitioner.About the role The Paediatric Occupational Therapist will be required to provide an efficient, high-quality service to children from across the Bellarine region.You will function as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, working closely with team members from the CHAD team to promote an integrated and holistic service, including: Provide high quality clinical occupational therapy service to paediatric clients.Work within a multidisciplinary team.Provide assessment, therapy via individual sessions or groups programs as appropriate.Practice with child and family centred, strength-based framework and incorporate early childhood early intervention principles.You will be allocated a Community Health funded caseload with children aged from 0-6 years presenting with mild-moderate developmental delays, or communication difficulties.Contribute to the occupational therapy team and child health and development service. We would like to hear from you if you have: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, and registration with AHPRA.Clinical skills in occupational therapy incorporating knowledge of childhood development, evidence-based practice, assessment tools and therapy approaches.Passion in working with children and families.Demonstrated capacity to practice in a collaborative, strength based, family and child centred model.High level and effective interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, communication, and the ability to adapt and be flexible.Strong organisational and time management skills, efficient and flexible work practices including the ability to manage a busy caseload, meet deadlines, prioritise, and respond to change.Be willing to learn and be committed to providing excellent care through commitment to professional development by maintaining, applying, and sharing clinical knowledge.
