Description Wood is recruiting a 3D CAD Systems Administrator to join our expanding Oil & Gas Operations (APAC West & East) team, as a result securing several large projects with existing long-term clients. In addition, to a new and significant brownfield Engineering Service Contract with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry. Based preferably in Perth. However, this opportunity is available to work remotely and as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. Responsibilities Reporting to the Regional Head of Technical Systems and working across various projects and across multiple offices. Your responsibilities will be: Focal point for the administration of 3D CAD Systems Management, delivery and technical support of 3D CAD systems and related ancillary project execution tools (e.g. for pipe support design, drawing generation, design review, point cloud data management, etc.). Includes configuration and support of all modules within the systems 3D Model Progress Reporting and Model Change Management Provide system support for all 3D CAD systems users Development and management of 3D modelling specifications and Cats & Specs (Piping and Structural) Develop and manage interfaces of the 3D CAD system with other technical applications, material management systems, etc Develop and manage interfaces with 3D CAD Review, point cloud data management systems and 2D drafting/modelling packages including AutoCAD and MicroStation Assist 3D CAD design activities for all the core disciplines, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, Instrumentation and Electrical. This includes creation of piping components, equipment items, in-line instruments and special piping (SP) items Development and maintenance of standard documentation to formalise the company requirements and methods for 3D CAD Systems administration Qualifications Only candidates with full work rights for the Australian location will be considered. Ideally, you will have relevant degree/diploma in engineering or approved certification from recognized technical school in the field of computer drafting, design, administration and/or programming of CAD systems and have: Minimum 10 years’ experience in applying the 3D CAD Systems management skills to Oil & Gas capital projects, including programming, customization, configuration, installation, system & data administration and user support E3D or PDMS experience is essential Advanced knowledge of all the engineering design activities within an Engineering services organization Practical knowledge and application of the 3D modelling programming language and Operating System scripts Possess high level computer skills Knowledge of Network operations and protocols What will set you apart will be your extensive experience as a 3D CAD Systems Administrator and your exceptional customer service.
