Enterprise Integration Services
We are passionate about delivering robust, flexible and secure integration platforms and offering integration capability as a service. Our Engineers design, build, test and support integration solutions across platforms working closely with other squad members to ensure customer outcomes. About the Role
The EIS team ( Enterprise Integration Services ) is looking for people who are passionate about great engineering, have the humility to transition from expert to leaner to learn new things and who can lead themselves and others through ongoing change. What will your day look like?
• Developing existing skills in software development, coding and automation
• Contributing towards solutions in deployment, change management and incident management
• Building continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed
• Participating in collaborative teams to build robust and scalable integration platforms
• Utilises tools in best practices to build, verify and deploy platform solutions in the most efficient ways
• Mentor, coach and advise junior employees about how to build, assemble, code and deploy effective solutions.
• Contributeds to a culture within the Technology Area and the Engineering Chapter encouraging collaboration, continual learning and improvement
• Assists with ongoing support for platforms as required e.g. problem and incident management
• Creates and maintains technical documentation, ensuring that published specifications accurately reflect the real world.
• Participates in meetings with squad members to estimate, plan and deliver integration solutions as part of strategic and bank wide initiatives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to product owner.
What will you bring?
• Background in Software/platform Engineering combined with broad capabilities and experience to innovate and adapt to the latest developments, technologies and tooling
• Some experience in one or more software development roles previously eg: Integration Engineer, Platform Operations Engineer
• Have a thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies and techniques bringing benefits into the Technology Area
• Work closely with Product Owner in implementing application solutions and contributing to coding designs and decisions
• Ability to quickly grasp new content and apply learning across disciplines
• Understand technical requirements to learn, accept guidance and make sound implementation decisions
• Writing technical documentation covering audit, disaster recovery, observability, coding standards and more
Specialised Skills
• Good understanding of Kafka Platform Architecture and Design
• Experience in Kafka Platform Implementaton on GKE or EKS clusters (Confluent for Kubernetes (CFK) Experience preferred )
• Experience on AWS/GCP cloud.
• Experience in Kafka connectors, replicators and security aspects
• Good Understanding on Event Driven design and development
• Java stream processing implementation and design
• Experience in Flink Data Streaming Platform
• Good Understanding on Micro-Service Driven design and development
• Knowledge in Observability Tools (Grafana-Prometheus) and Frameworks
• DevOps – Infrastructure as Code Mentality
