A postdoctoral research fellow position in particle accelerator-based research at the Pelletron accelerator laboratory in The School of Physics, University of Melbourne. The successful applicant will undertake independent and collaborative research activities on a beamline equipped with a unique microanalysis and mapping capability based on a MAIA pixelated X-ray detector array.The instrument provides elemental mapping and microanalysis capabilities at micron resolution over large sample areas allowing researchers and technologists across diverse fields to perform measurements that are extremely rich in data content and difficult to perform by other means.
