Professional care and support services are provided within a framework of continuous improvement and we regularly consult and collaborate with our members to establish and maintain a future which meets the needs of our community, our philosophy and our resources.About the Role We are currently seeking dynamic and reliable Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at our facility in Paradise.Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to;Supporting and enabling residents to maximise their independence, improving and maintaining their health, wellness and quality of life.Using best practice and evidence based tools to plan and deliver high quality lifestyle and exercise services with the emphasis on person centred care and healthy ageing through goal setting, emotional support and health literacy.Enabling participation in facility activities of relevance to eachresident.Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to identify and develop Recovery Pathways for residents at risk of decline and frailty.Undertaking audits to ensure all residential Lifestyle programs operate in accordance with Amber Aged Care procedures.Hours of work ******** (Monday - Thursday)About You To be successful in this role you will have:Cert IV Leisure and Health or equivalent.Demonstrated experience and a passion for working in Aged Care.Demonstrated experience in the delivery and supporting the implementation of wellness and lifestyle programs for older people.Sound problem solving skills particularly when assessing balancing supporting resident's desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of care.Good understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to understand and adapt to different clients' processes.Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including Booster shot) and Seasonal Influenza vaccination.Police clearance.If you are passionate about developing a career in a in a progressive, people-focused organisation and have a commitment to contributing positively to the lives of our clients' residents, then we would love to hear from you.
