MTANSW has an opportunity for an Apprentice looking for a start in the Panel Beating area of Automotive.
The position is located in Wagga Wagga.On-the-job training as a Panel Beater Apprentice could see you working in a crash repairer, new or used car dealership, or even with a motor vehicle manufacturer.As an apprentice Panel Beater, you'll master skills like:Determining the nature and extent of damage to a vehicle so it can be expertly repaired.Repairing, removing or replacing damaged panels and sub-structures.Returning a car to manufacturer's specifications using specialised tools.Using mechanical and hydraulic equipment, and computer alignment programs and processes.Using metal welding and modern bonding techniques.Filing, grinding and sanding panel surfaces.Re-fitting body hardware such as door locks.Realigning chassis and body frames.Removing and replacing a vehicle's auto-electrical components if damaged.
