Our services have a strong focus on prevention and early intervention and enable access to safe accommodation options, holistic case management, community outreach programs, and programs that teach vital independent living skills.About the roleThe School Administration Assistant provides efficient administration and organisational support to the TSA Independent Schools in order to enhance outcomes and to support the operational management of the TSA Independent Schools Program. This is a Permanent Part-time role based at The Salvation Army Independent School - Riverview campus. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week during the school term only.Compensation and conditions are in accordance with the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award Level 3.2 + Superannuation.You will successfullyPerform general administration and clerical activities for the TSA Independent Schools, including filing (electronic and hard copy), minute taking, data entry (Word, Excel, etc.), processing mail, general correspondence, resource and supply management, and processing orders.Ensure the provision of positive, prompt, and efficient service to the internal and extended school community through reception related activities including all phone, face-to-face, and online inquiries.Support school safety by monitoring the front entrance and managing protocols for visitors, and student passes for late arrivals or early departures.Coordinate the training, integrity checks, and induction of volunteers, including blue cards, child safety, and code of conduct.Assist staff with the ordering and maintaining of necessary supplies for the school and restocking when required.Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as student injury, and follow school protocols.
