About the opportunity
An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated Psychologist to join our team. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, to grow with our organisation, and to be a part of a collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication and speech disorders.
Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
Implement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
Offer guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress reports.
Perform all other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Psychology.
Previous experience in Psychology within the NDIS preferable but not essential.
Pre-existing registration with AHPRA (full or provisional registration).
Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, their families and service providers.
Demonstrated knowledge of legislation.
Experience in working with people with complex needs including, complex trauma, adults and the elderly with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex and mental health diagnoses.
A high level of written and verbal communication skills, particularly in advocacy, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution
Ability to work to productivity targets.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.
Hold a current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR.
Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
