You will demonstrate unquestioned integrity and a proven record of acting with tact and discretion – maintaining confidentiality at all times.This role requires someone with an agile, flexible mindset and positive attitude. You will have a high degree of initiative to work independently, respond to issues, and adapt to situations by assessing demands and priorities as they arise. The role would suit a person comfortable with implementing procedures and solutions with limited direction.Having the capability to quickly acquire an understanding of this unique environment and its systems is important. Extensive experience providing senior executive support at a high level and working to more than one manager.2. Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to liaise effectively with Parliamentarians, CEOs, and senior executives and negotiate and maintain productive working relationships across Parliament.3. Well-developed planning and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, manage workflow, prioritise and meet timeframes.4. Well-developed research, conceptual, analytical skills including an ability to prepare reports, submissions and formal documentation.5. Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement, anticipate emerging issues, show initiative and problem solve particularly related to urgent non-routine matters or highly sensitive issues.Desirable Criteria:1. An understanding of, or the ability to gain an understanding of, the operations of the Parliament and the role of the Legislative Assembly.2.
