The Role This exciting new role focuses on bringing the vision for Caulfield Grammar School Shelford Campus to life and inspiring the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and changemakers at CGS. Collaborating with key colleagues overseeing existing CGS STEAM initiatives, you will help develop and implement innovative, engaging, and inspiring programs, systems, and facilities at CGS Shelford campus, by facilitating incursion and extracurricular programs with an initial focus on further enhancing our Junior School STEAM program. You will also oversee the coordination of all other activities and programs at the campus, including usage by other campuses and extracurricular programs. The role is designed with flexibility to extend into Term breaks to lead and coordinate school holiday programs. These may include STEAM focused programs and other activities, such as sports, music, or cooking, to create immersive learning experiences that inspire and empower students. Your contributions will be pivotal in cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence, positioning CGS Shelford campus as a hub of creativity and discovery. This is a full-time fixed term opportunity located at the CGS Shelford Campus and commences in Term 1, 2025. Key Duties Provide support to successfully operationalise CGS Shelford Campus by developing and delivering the campus implementation plan. Manage and coordinate the booking of facilities and use of the campus ensuring that all processes and protocols are adhered to. Maintain a safe environment to minimise risk to students, staff and the community by implementing and maintaining the campus emergency management plan and risk mitigation protocols. Collaboratively design an ambitious STEAM incursion and multifaceted extracurricular school holiday program roadmap that aligns with CGS’s vision for the future of CGS Shelford Campus and the wider school strategy. Work closely with colleagues overseeing existing CGS STEAM programs, to develop and lead forward-thinking high-quality incursion & extracurricular initiatives that complement the existing CGS STEAM curriculum yet push the boundaries of traditional STEAM education. Identify, co-ordinate and manage other extracurricular activities for school holiday programs including engaging the providers, co-ordinating the set up and ensuring an appropriate booking system is identified and managed. Build and leverage strategic relationships with partner organisations to promote the vision and goals of CGS Shelford campus. Identify, engage and nurture relationships with appropriate industry and school partners to build an industry informed program that focuses on developing future skills. Host information sessions/workshops/demonstrations for CGS parents, industry and community stakeholders, and the broader community as required. Support the review of the incursions and extracurricular activities and implement solutions to continually improve programs and report on progress against targets. Provide mentorship and support to educators with the delivery of the STEAM incursion programs and extracurricular activities, fostering their confidence and expertise in quality CGS instruction. Report clearly, accurately, and respectfully to students and parents/carers about student outcomes and achievement, making use of accurate and reliable records. Skilled in inspiring teams and building a culture of innovation. Able to develop and execute long-term plans with measurable outcomes. Committed to ensuring access to high-quality STEAM education for all learners. Constantly exploring emerging trends and technologies in STEAM education. Experience within STEAM-focused industry and/or the educational sector and in the development, delivery and embedding of innovative curriculum and learning programs will be a distinct advantage. Appropriate formal teaching qualifications with a specialisation/experience in an area of STEAM is desirable. Ability to lead and motivate a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications required for the role: Graduate or bachelor's degree in teaching or education or Vocational or Bachelor level qualifications in any of the Science, Maths, Engineering, Arts, Design, or Technology disciplines. Hold a current VIT Registration or Working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain this.
