Add expected salary to your profile for insightsThe Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre stretch of road that will bypass the Coffs Harbour urban area, from England's Road in the South to Sapphire in the North and is a once-in-a-generation project for the Mid-North Coast community.Ferrovial and Gamuda (FGJV) are the proud design and construct joint venture delivery partners of the Coffs Harbour Bypass – a significant, unique and exceptional major infrastructure project that will leave a legacy of innovation and sustainability in the region for communities of today and tomorrow.As a Traffic Manager (Senior Traffic Engineer), you will be responsible for all traffic management functions and requirements associated with the Project works, in accordance with applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:Manage scheduling of traffic operations and oversee traffic control sub-contract crews at sites along the alignment to ensure the successful execution of all construction works.Identify traffic control requirements with the area supervisors and/or engineers to arrange and monitor traffic resources and equipment for day-to-day works.Manage budget, traffic operations schedule, and forecast for traffic management.Liaise with stakeholders regarding traffic impacts and negotiation of major closures to ensure the Project is delivered with minimal disruption.Oversee traffic control sites to ensure that traffic operations are not causing delay and obstruction to public road users while safely facilitating construction activities.Check on compliance with the relevant traffic guidance scheme (TGS) developed for the traffic works and make modifications in accordance with the NSW Traffic Control at Worksites (TCAWS) Technical Guide as required to improve the safe management of traffic at traffic control work sites.Ensure traffic control work sites are in line with the project Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.Ensure traffic-related incidents are investigated, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.Facilitate traffic management awareness training to site personnel and be present on toolbox talks as required.Undertake regular inspections of the project road network to ensure that the project provides a safe road user environment for public road users.Required Qualifications / Experience / Skills:Bachelor of Civil or Traffic Engineering or equivalent experience.Minimum 5+ years relevant construction and traffic management experience.Proven experience in development and implementation of Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS), auditing, and contractor management.Coffs Harbour Bypass Team encourages and supports a diverse and inclusive workforce.
