A meat shop located in Greenway, ACT is looking for an experienced butcher/meat processing worker for immediate start.
Qualifications & experience
* Qualified butcher with boning experience.
* Experience in sausage making will be an advantage.
* Ability to cut, trim and slice Beef, Lamb, Goat and debone Chicken to a high standard.
* Experience in both retail and wholesale type operations would be a great advantage, as would be an eye for detail and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced environment.
* A positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a team.
* A good work ethic, attention to detail and ability to follow instructions well.
* Able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
* Work rights in Australia.
Tasks & responsibilities
* Bone, trim and slice from carcase of beef, lamb, goat, and chicken.
* Ensure production is achieved each day whilst maintaining our high quality standard.
* Introduce and develop new products.
* Clean and sanitise area throughout the day. Perform duties to comply with health regulations, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures. Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
The prospective candidate should have the ability to work 5 days (Monday to Friday) and be able to start early (around 5-6 am daily). The applicant also should be in Australia (or already have Australian work visa/permanent residency/citizenship). We are NOT providing sponsorship for overseas workers at the moment.
