An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of Australia’s leading food manufacturing facilities. The business has been established for 20+ years and manufactures over 150 million packets per annum. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
Job Overview:
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of facilities. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and enjoyable work environment for our team, ensuring that production and distribution facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring all aspects of building maintenance and plant services are in safe working order.
* Management of essential services such as HVAC systems, fire detection/suppression system, hydrant and hose reels, town water and sewer pumping station, ancillary equipment including steam generation and compressed air plants, waste services and WWTP, chilled water plants and/or solar system.
* The facilities manager will assist in directing external contractors to carry out scheduled, preventative and reactive property works that ensures optimal, compliant performance.
* The role also has responsibilities for building SLA’s and contracts with support vendors.
* Someone who can work with procurement, engineering teams, boilers, compressors, fire hydrants, waste water management
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
* Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role (at least 8 years).
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in computer skills, including facility management software.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to handle various tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of food production facilities.
