About the role Located at our site in Cobden, you will be an integral member of the CopRice Operations leadership group, responsible for providing leadership for the Cobden site and establishing a proactive and planned manufacturing environment. You will ensure the efficient operation of the site, while meeting production requirements within established safety, quality and cost-effective parameters. Key responsibilities include: Ensure that the Feedmill is operating to produce agreed levels of finished product within established specifications and ensure sufficient production staffing to meet agreed production plans Ensure the testing of products at various milling stages is complete and in accordance with quality processes Manage cost per tonne and throughput rates to ensure they meet pre-agreed KPI's Monitor site performance against agreed targets Lead the sites continuous improvement journey. Complete HACCP reviews and GMP audits Provide necessary training, coaching and mentoring for the production, maintenance and logistics team and foster a culture for High-Performing Teams with a focus on safety, quality and multiskilling Promote and foster a safety culture. About You You are decisive in your problem-solving approach, have excellent communication skills and strong organisational and planning skills. You are a natural influencer and encourage open, friendly engagement and collaboration. You will also have: Manufacturing/Industry Exposure – A minimum of 5 years + Broad Financial & Operational experience including Production Management, Raw material Procurement, Logistics / warehousing Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement – ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement associated systems Experience managing budgets, operational and capital expenditure Proficiency in SAP Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering related discipline Experience in the stockfeed / agricultural sector and project management experience would be highly regarded.
