About the role The People and Culture Directorate currently has a rare opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver health and safety services to the University community including workers, students and affiliates.
The activities of the University are wide-ranging from agricultural work, construction, teaching, laboratory based tasks to digital learning and residential living.

The position reports to the Senior Manager Health, Safety and Wellbeing and provides operational safety expertise such as support for incident management and investigations, risk assessment and implementation of the University audit and inspection program.
supports the People and Culture directorate and key stakeholders with management of psychosocial risk, return to work planning and critical incident support.
assists with implementation of the WHS digital management system, WHS reporting and preparation of health and safety documentation such as policy, SWMS.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Qualifications and wide-ranging expertise in day to day operational health and safety management suited to a complex organisation with diverse risk profile.
Demonstrated ability to positively engage with and influence stakeholders involved in delivery of professional services, teaching and research.
Digital fluency with Microsoft suite, WHS Digital Management systems and ability to readily acquire skills applicable to a range of platforms associated with the University digital ecosystem.
Ability to work efficiently and independently and as part of a team to meet shared objectives.
