The opportunity:
As a Research Assistant, you will be a vital contributor to the computational activities of our innovative research group. Your role will involve developing and maintaining pipelines for the continuous analysis of large-scale proteomics datasets. These datasets are at the forefront of our efforts in stem cell models of human disease, and you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of biological data analysis and visualisation.

Your new team:
This position comes with the exciting opportunity to participate as a member of the The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine, also known as reNEW, a tripartite collaborative research Center between MCRI, The University of Copenhagen, and Leiden University Medical Center (> ) established to develop safe and effective stem cell-based therapies.
Your responsibilities include:
4. Collaborate on the development of open-source tools using Python, or R
5. Work on the development of machine learning-based tools for data processing, and web-based tools for data visualisation
6. Manage large proteomics datasets produced by the group
7. Develop hands-on experience in best practices in software engineering, including version control with Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
8. Implement bioinformatics pipelines and resources for use by group members
About you:
9. Degree/Honours/Masters/PhD qualification in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline
10. Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation
11. Proficiency in Python, R, web development and data visualisation
12. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and bash scripting
13. A strong interest in software development and machine learning
