Utilise your analytical skills and expertise to inform the regulatory framework of the tobacco licensing schemeFixed Term, Full Time opportunity until 31 December 2025 to work with a high-performing and passionate team.The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst to provide a critical role within the Tobacco Regulation Project.About the Business UnitThe Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) provides a range of government programs and services focused on improving community safety, victim services, regulatory services and crime prevention, and building strong collaboration across the justice system.Located in the Integrity, Regulation and Legal Services (IRLS) group, the Tobacco Regulation Project (TRP) has been established to deliver the Government's commitment to implement a tobacco regulation and licensing scheme.About the RoleReporting to the Principal Adviser, Intelligence and Operations, the Senior Intelligence Analyst will lead the development and implementation of an intelligence capability for the effective collection, analysis, and dissemination of information and intelligence to inform the development and operationalisation of the tobacco licensing scheme.As the Senior Intelligence Analyst, some of your duties will include:Establishing and leveraging existing key information-sharing arrangements to identify and obtain intelligence from other agencies and regulatory teams.Identifying and implementing systems to ensure effective collection, analysis and reporting of intelligence, including information systems and analytical software.Utilising intelligence to identify and inform strategies to address emerging complex and sensitive issues, risks, and trends.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Contemporary knowledge related to the collection, collation, evaluation, analysis and controlled dissemination of information in respect to complex regulatory functions and operations.Significant experience working in law enforcement or regulatory operations and/or relevant experience in an intelligence or law enforcement environment.Demonstrated high level verbal and written skills in policy and report writing, analysis and briefing.Qualifications/requirementsFormal qualifications and/or training in Intelligence or a related field.How to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
