About The Role
Ventia have been engaged by the DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) to provide integrated Facility Management services incorporating planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, and soft services including cleaning, ground, pest, and waste streams.
About the Role:
Located in Grovedale VIC - the Finance and Commercial Manager role is responsible all financial and commercial aspects associated with the VIC DJCS Contract preserve and or improve the target requirement, whist ensuring that Ventia meets its contractual obligations to the VIC DJCS contract.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the commercial relationship with the VIC DJCS contract to yield satisfactory outcomes for both parties
2. Develop commercial framework and procedures for the contract
3. Perform commercial audits of all key contracts and implement corrective actions where required
4. Develop and negotiate new contractual arrangements where required
5. Establish and maintain effective relations with the Client, internal and external providers, subcontractors and suppliers
6. Monitor financial performance, conduct financial analysis (including trend analysis) and prepare contract level progress and performance information and recommendations for incorporation into the operation
7. Submit and evaluate proposals to contract management that reduce costs, maximise revenue, improve NWC, increase EBITDA, improve quality, and increase productivity
8. Monitor contract compliance with company’s policies and procedures in relation to legal, financial and administration matters
9. Provide functional input into the development, review, negotiation and implementation of service, subcontract, and supplier agreements; referencing legal, corporate citizenship, corporate governance and commercial considerations in order to gain the best possible return for the contract.
10. Assist the Project Director and the business unit Commercial Manager on proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules
Key Skills and Experience:
11. Tertiary qualifications in an applicable discipline
12. Current OHS General Induction to Construction Certificate
13. Knowledge of SAP Project Systems (or similar)
14. High level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
15. Relevant experience in contract/commercial preparation and negotiation (inc contract law)
16. Knowledge of planning and scheduling (e.g. P3 or MS Project)
17. Knowledge of document control systems
18. Current and valid driver’s license
