About the company:Our client is a leading food manufacturer and distributor based out in the Southeastern suburbs. They have a portfolio of highly regarded brands and large market share across the retail grocery and food service sectors nationally. Due to increased capacity, a contract opportunity is available for an immediate start.About the role:Reporting through to the demand planning manager in this stand-alone role, the demand planner is responsible for driving forecast accuracy across a number of product lines, minimising variances whilst taking into account seasonal and promotional activity. The frequency of new production introductions by major customers will add additional complexity to this process. The demand planner also plays an integral part in the monthly collaborative planning process and will work cross functionally with other teams in sales and operations to ensure product targets are met, whilst maintaining optimal inventory levels.Skills & Experience:Minimum 3-5 years' experience in similar role.SAP MRP planning experience.Experience with Statistical modelling software (SAP APO/Demand Solutions or similar)Demonstrated capability to work as part of a team.Strong capability with Excel/PowerPoint.Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)Knowledge of the food industry (desirable)This is an exciting opportunity with an Australian business that is continuing to grow.
