The baseline of our range is higher than the typical market range, with base pay determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, our current base pay ranges for new hires are:Zone A: $239,000 - $318,600Zone B: $215,100 - $286,800Zone C: $198,400 - $264,500This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity. Please confirm the pay zone for your specific location with your recruiter.What you'll doCombine product, business, customers, and deep engineering knowledge to build simple solutions to complicated problems.Ensure excellent operational and engineering health across our systems and experiments.Introduce and improve adoption of new technologies and experimentation best practices from across the industry.Work with architects across Atlassian to align technical strategies and understand the needs of our platform consumers.Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to connect technical approaches with business needs and strategic direction.Your backgroundExperience working in an experimentation and data-driven environment.Experience with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS with hands-on experience of one or more public cloud offerings (AWS).10+ years of experience building software, with 4+ years implementing high-volume, low-latency distributed systems.Ability to see the interactions between technical decisions, people, and process on a long timescale. Past management experience is a plus but not essential.
