Our service has been operating for over 7 years, delivering exceptional care to our community fostering a child-led approach through both the Reggio Emilio and Curiosity Approach to learning.Why This Role is Exciting:Above ratio staffing: At Piccolo, delivering the best quality care is paramount, therefore we ensure that each room is overstaffed providing not only quality care but consistency for children, educators, and families.Our team: Work as part of an already established, diverse team who meet and exceed National Quality Standards.Privately, family-owned centre: Work closely with flexible owners.Full-time off the floor Assistant Director/Educational Leader.Paid training and professional development: First aid and other certificates paid for by the company as well as regular professional development opportunities.Team building: Regular team-building exercises and events.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of the service.Guide, lead, mentor and support a diverse team of teachers, qualified educators, chefs, trainees, and students.Cultivate a positive and collaborative team culture, where professional growth and a shared passion for excellence thrives.Ensure the highest quality of care, education and customer service is delivered to families and the community.Manage rosters and trainee wage submissions.Engage with the local community to build lasting relationships and drive new enrolments.Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations, whilst upholding a strong focus on child safety and education quality.Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, Xplor software and other key pedagogies.About you:Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role.Diploma in ECE or Bachelor of ECE.All relevant certifications to ensure child safety.Bubbly personality with a positive attitude and exceptional people skills with the ability to build strong relationships, defuse challenging situations and foster a culture of trust and support.Empathetic with ability to resonate with families and team members.Hands on approach.Believe in a nurturing approach, cultivating wonder and learning through child-led play, experiences, and environments.If you’re ready to take on this rewarding challenge and be a part of a community that values growth, innovation, and excellence, we want to hear from you!
