In this crucial role, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive case management and preventative services to families with children at risk of elevated blood lead levels. Essential Criteria
For applicants seeking the AHP2 classification:
* Must hold a recognised qualification in Social Work or Occupational Therapy.
* Must be eligible for practising membership with the relevant Professional Association.
* For professions requiring Registration, all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be met.
* For self-regulated professions, participation in the professional association's accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program is desirable.
* Must demonstrate AHP2 level competencies, or have a 2-year post-graduate Master's degree with a related allied health undergraduate qualification.
For applicants seeking the RN/M2A classification:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
* Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced nurses or health care team.

Our allied health clinicians/registered nurses are leaders in understanding the issues around environmental lead and supporting the management of exposure risks to minimise blood lead levels within our target group. The core focus of the Environmental Health Centre is to provide assistance to families of young children (aged 0-5 years) in understanding the issues around environmental lead and managing family members' blood lead levels to improve health outcomes for pregnant women and children.
