The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor with strong leadership, organisational skills, and a trade background in Carpentry. The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail, ensuring quality workmanship, and be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring projects run efficiently from commencement to completion. Your Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: Site Management: Supervising and managing all site activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Managing site mobilisation, setup, and project commencement. Handling defect punch lists before practical completion and preparing for final handovers. Liaising with owners, architects, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders. Assisting in developing and mentoring carpentry teams. Programming and Scheduling: Using construction management software to plan and oversee workflows. Updating schedules, tracking progress, and adjusting priorities as required. Coordinating purchase orders and liaising with procurement and administrative staff. Financial Control: Managing project costs within budgets. Ensuring materials, permits, and resources are efficiently utilised to minimise waste. Supporting procurement and administrative teams with budget variations. People and Team Management: Leading, motivating, and supervising subcontractors and internal teams. Conducting team meetings, performance reviews, and ensuring high standards are upheld. Inducting and training subcontractors on site-specific safety requirements. Providing reports and insights for management meetings. Compliance and Safety: Overseeing site safety and ensuring compliance with regulations. Keeping safety documentation up to date. Conducting regular site safety inspections and addressing incidents promptly. Asset Management: Monitoring plant, equipment, and maintaining asset logs. Scheduling maintenance and ensuring company vehicles are kept in good condition. Required Licenses/Qualifications/Experience Certificate III in Carpentry or Construction. Current General Safety Induction Card (White Card). Current Australian Driver Licence. QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (or eligibility based on Carpentry qualification). Previous experience as a Leading Hand Carpenter or Site Supervisor in residential construction. Strong leadership and team management skills. Trade background in Carpentry with expertise across all trades. Proficiency in project management software and digital tools. Sound knowledge of site safety and environmental compliance.
