Ashtonfield, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSWWe are seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end tender and contract management process across the Group. The position involves end-to-end tender responsibilities, including contract reviews, negotiations, and compliance with Group policies and guidelines.The Contracts Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned commercial contracts. This includes contract compliance, supplier relationship management, negotiation, and strategy development for contract extensions and the establishment of new contracts. The role will also work closely with others within the team to facilitate effective contract management.Key ResponsibilitiesWork in collaboration with others across the team and businessPrepare, evaluate, and manage tenders and contracts, including clarifications, negotiations, drafting, and post-award requirements, in a timely and effective mannerFoster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPrepare and present contract award recommendations to senior leadership team and the BoardAchieve success in negotiations, including cost savings, dispute resolution, and relationship management with stakeholdersAbout YouTertiary qualifications in Finance, Procurement or LawStrong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication abilitiesExcellent time management and ability to manage conflicting priorities, completing multiple tasks on timeDemonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably mining industry (5+ years)Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience in price review mechanisms and price adjustmentsProven negotiation and contract resolution skillsOutstanding stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across all levels of the businessHighly organised and enthusiastic team playerYour MotivationYou will be looking to make a difference, challenge yourself and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
