Founded in 1886, we believe our relentless ambition, customer centricity and focus on people have contributed significantly to our success to date.We are on an exciting transformational journey to drive significant growth, and to support this, we are seeking a professional and people-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Devonport team.Your Role:Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will have previous experience in a technically orientated customer service role.
Ideally you will have a background in the hydraulics industry and/or knowledge of hydraulic components, hoses and fittings and be able to handle technical inquiries and provide quotes.This role involves handling telephone calls, email and over the counter sales inquiries and converting them to sales.
The role involves maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing similar relationships with new customers.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to produce reports and provide ad hoc administrative support.We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate superior customer service and organisation skills, can multitask, set priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.Experience with PRONTO will be highly regarded.Key Responsibilities:Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.Provide accurate quotes and process sales orders.Coordinate with purchasing on stock availability.Maintain product knowledge and assist with technical queries.Support the Territory Sales Managers and internal teams.Assist with workshop build sheets and counter sales when required.Skills and Attributes:Proven customer service or internal sales experience.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accurate data entry.ERP experience (PRONTO preferred).Mechanical or trade background advantageous.Our Key Competencies and Values:Accountability: Demonstrates responsibility and ownership, creating trust through actions and behaviours.Communication: Actively listens, uses appreciative inquiry, adapts communication style to the situation, and demonstrates empathy.
