About the role
TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Ageing and/or Disability to join our team of teachers in a casual position based at TAFE NSW Campus’ across South Region.
The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The successful candidates in this role will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their best outcomes.
About You
You are a passionate and engaged individual who holds relevant qualifications and experience in Ageing and/or Disability.
You have current industry expertise in delivering quality care to support the delivery of units that may include ageing and/or disability.
You have demonstrated experience in establishing relationships with and providing exceptional customer service to diverse individuals.
You pride yourself on your exceptional communication skills and your ability to facilitate adult learning. Crucially, you are someone who shares the TAFE NSW Values of Integrity, Collaboration, Excellence and Customer First.
We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals who have the ability to meet the following Essential Requirements:
1. Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications with a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, and/or Certificate IV in Ageing Support or Disability (or other relevant discipline).
2. Minimum three (3) years post-qualification experience, gained no longer than five years ago.
3. Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent and a commitment to maintaining competency.
4. Commitment to maintaining and developing technical currency + VET knowledge and skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
