Why this role matters
The Salvation Army Inner Gippsland Family Violence Integrated Men’s Services (IMS) provides support and intervention to men who have perpetrated family violence. We offer an integrated service response that includes intake and assessment, case management, men’s behaviour change group work as well as offer support to impacted family members.
About the role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to provide support to men who have perpetrated family violence and to deliver the online Men’s Behaviour Change Group programs.
Reporting to the program manager, This is a fixed-term (until June 2025), full-time position, based in Leongatha, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 6.
You will successfully
* Complete intake and assessment processes.
* Co-facilitate face to face and online Men’s Behaviour Change groups, including after-hours group facilitation.
* Provide individual intervention and case coordination services to men and their families.
* Conduct on-going risk assessments and develop safety plans to mitigate risk and ensure safety.
* Attend supervision and reflective practice sessions regularly.
* Maintain professional documentation and administrative systems according to program and legislative requirements.
You will have
* A tertiary qualification in Social Work / Social Sciences or related fields (essential).
* A current and valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (essential).
* A current Victorian Driver Licence.
* Demonstrated experience in family violence.
* Case management skills and experience (desirable).
* An understanding of the complexities that come with working with Men who use violence.
