The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) operates a network model for Obstetrics and Gynaecology services. This position will be required to provide services at Rockhampton Hospital and community clinics, Gladstone Hospital and Emerald Hospital, as well as visits to rural facilities including Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service, Biloela Hospital and Capricorn Coast Hospital and other facilities as services are expanded.
About the role:
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a specialist General Practitioner (GP) with Rural Generalist recognition to work collaboratively in a busy level 3 obstetric unit alongside specialist obstetricians. The position of the Rural Generalist (Obstetrics) is intended to provide Obstetrics and Gynaecology services to the Gladstone and Banana Shire group of hospitals. This requires the provision of expert Obstetric services at Gladstone Hospital as well as professional support to other facilities in the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), as required from time to time including but not limited to Outreach Clinics or Telehealth Clinics at Biloela, Moura, Theodore and Baralaba Hospitals.
About you:
* MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
o The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG) (advanced).
* While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be well regarded:
o General Practice Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or
o Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or
o Evidence of acceptance as an Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) trainee.
* Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
* Current Obstetric Emergency Management, RANZCOG FSE accreditation and Advanced Neo Resuscitation training.
* Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College.

Total remuneration value of up to $458,574 p.a. is comprised of:
* A salary rate between $210,332 - $251,527 p.a. (L18-L25)
* A salary rate between $182,106 - $210,332 p.a. (L13-L18)
* A salary rate between $182,106 - $187,801 p.a. (L13-L14)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
