We are currently recruiting for a Cook Kitchen Supervisor to deliver a high-quality dining experience to clients in our new central kitchens. You will collaborate with our central Hospitality Services Manager and the relevant facility’s Service Manager to embed and evaluate this model at our either of the established residential aged care home located in our Brightwater Inglewood Facility.
This role is responsible for ensuring a high-quality food experience is provided to Brightwater’s residential aged care clients. This position prepares a range of meals and refreshments for clients; manages the kitchen facilities and kitchen staff at site to ensure compliance with health codes and regulations; ordering food supplies and consumables whilst managing costs within a specified budget.
Successful candidates will be offered a permanent part-time position working predominantly Thursday and Friday during the morning and day.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
4. Qualified Cook with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
5. Significant experience working as a Cook post qualification.
6. Previous experience managing a small kitchen in an aged care, health, or hospitality environment.
7. Demonstrated experience working within budgetary guidelines.
8. Familiarity with Foodsafe and other legislation in relation to hygiene regulations for food areas and equipment.
9. Familiarity with texture modified diets and International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) guidelines.
10. Self-motivated and the ability to work unsupervised, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as a flexible team member, responding positively to challenges and changes.
11. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients and family, team members.
You will also possess:
12. A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than 12 months old
13. A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
14. Evidence of up-to-date flu vaccination
