We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Adviser to join our dynamic team!This role provides occupational safety and health support to Moomba and Port Bonython, assisting in achieving a strong HSS culture and compliance with regulatory requirements.*** Site travel to Moomba and Port Bonython is expected 2 to 3 times a monthKey accountabilities include:Lead and participate in incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and maintain the incident database, ensuring high-quality reporting and timely closure of actions.Monitor and analyse incident trends, lead and lag indicators, and track safety performance metrics to provide data-driven insights for safety improvements.Conduct compliance reviews and participate in HS audits for MHF activities, including contractor audits, identifying non-compliance and supporting corrective actions.Ensure MHF operations comply with OSH legislation in South Australia, assisting in preparing compliance reports for regulatory bodies and supporting legislative adherence.Utilise relevant software and systems for tracking incidents, audits, and compliance data, ensuring efficient use of digital platforms – incident reports, investigations and evidence collection.About YouTo be successful in this role, we are seeking professionals with strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in the following:Demonstrated experience in the hydrocarbon industry or equivalent.Experience in ICAM investigation and major hazard facility compliance.Experience in report writing and HS incident investigation processes.Familiarity with HS management systems, Safety Case, Safework SA, and relevant HS legislation.Understanding of safety management principles (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).Ideally, you hold a degree/tertiary qualification in safety, health, and environment or related fields.Supporting a Diverse WorkforceSantos acknowledges that we operate on the traditional lands of Aboriginal people.
