Full time, fixed position to 30/06/2025 Salary range $60,295 - $72,534 plus superannuation Contribute to community safety and meaningful outcomes for young people About Us The Youth Justice Team provides community-based supervision and a range of case management and support services for young people who are appearing before, or have been sentenced by, the Children's Court, Children's Koori Court, and adult criminal courts and who have been placed on youth justice supervised orders. The team promotes the personal development of young offenders and contributes to the reduction of crime in the community. About the Role This role covers a diverse range of responsibilities relating to the supervision of community work placements for young people subject to statutory orders. As the successful candidate, you will provide the day-to-day support and supervision of young people with complex needs, provide transport to young people for attendance at appointments and work closely with Youth Justice Case Managers who are responsible for the statutory supervision of court orders. You will provide practical assistance to young people in line with their case plan and support the implmentation of strategies to address offending behaviour and promote positive behaviour change. This is a full-time fixed term position through to 30 June 2025 and can be based in either Ringwood, Frankston or Dandenong. The successful applicant will be required to travel and work across the broader South-East Metropolitan region. About You To be successful in this role you will have: Experience working with complex young people in a community-based setting an awareness of the youth justice system, the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and associated policies and guidelines demonstrated experience or an awareness of key case management components; assessment, planning, service coordination and brokerage and interventions empathy and cultural awareness including an appreciation of different cultures confidence in managing stakeholders, negotiating effectively to develop and implement solutions.
