Our client requires a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to review and develop network security design, standards, processes, and practices applicable to their access layer network. As a cyber security engineer you are responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring a range of tools to ensure security. Key Accountabilities; Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for all aspects of cyber security risk (People, Processes & Technology) for their environment, covering Azure Cloud, Head Office, Data centers. This role is crucial and involves building relationships across the business to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Key responsibilities of this role: Provide the business through the provision of cyber security engineering and operational services in support of the Cyber Safety Management System (CSMS). Provide thought leadership and advice to management and stakeholders on a broad range of complex cyber security matters across people, processes and technology including IT, IOT. Enhance visibility by analysing technology and business services/systems to provide: Risk assessment for information and cyber security-related risks. Relevant, timely, and actionable threat intelligence. Recommendations towards the continual improvement cycle. Technical support, configuration guidance, and vendor management for cyber security services and technology services including firewalls, proxy, email filtering, application whitelisting, anti-malware, DLP, cloud platforms, and others. Provide support and guidance for good practice across CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Application Security. Conduct/coordination of security testing and validation: vulnerability, web application, penetration, and phishing tests. Enhance cyber security resilience through the provision of expertise and support to incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery activities. Act as an incident handler as part of the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). Conduct investigations of cyber security-related events and incidents. Implementation of complex enterprise-wide cyber security-related projects. Support IT/OT and business project delivery through the provision of: Cyber security guidance. Reviews and risk assessments. Security testing. Enhance process effectiveness including updating cyber security-related documentation. Other activities as directed in support of the Cyber Safety Program. About you: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of enterprise cyber security experience along with functional expertise across: Experience in identifying, assessing, and communicating cyber security-related risks Knowledge of Information Security principles, frameworks, and good practices Familiarity with AESCSF, ASD, NIST, CIS, ISO27001, and/or related standards CISSP (or similar certifications or tertiary education related to Information Security) Relevant complex security experience with (or similar technology): Experience with Application whitelisting (Carbon Black) SASE, Firewalls, Proxy, Email filtering, AMP, ISE, Routers and Switches (Cisco) Azure, O365, server, and desktop operating systems, and applications (Microsoft) Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Operating systems Mobile phones & tablets (iPhone & Android) Vulnerability Management/Scanning (Tenable) Web Application Scanning/Testing Application and API Security Zero Trust/Micro Network Segmentation Privilege Access Management Network Detection and Response (NDR) User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA) Security automation and orchestration Service Now and Jira Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
