Aboutthe role The Water and Resource Recoverysection has recently undergone a review and critical businessfunctions have been aligned to support more efficient delivery ofwater, wastewater and resource recovery services to the TownsvilleCommunity.
The Water Resources Engineer willassist with the continued development and implementation of theIntegrated Water Management Strategy for Townsville and participatein the development, delivery and reporting on the Water andResource Recovery Capital and Operational plans.
You will alsoprovide input, problem solving and assist with water treatment andnetwork operations to support day to day operations, problemsolving and water system optimisation.
Specifically, you will deliverprojects in: Water Treatment plant upgrades Dams Safety Network operations Come and join a growing team andhelp shape the future of our city.
Aboutyou Our ideal candidate willhave a bachelor's degree in civil, chemical or environmentalengineering and experience in a water treatment or distributionrelated field or specific role is desirable.
You will beself-motivated and have developing problem-solving skills alongwith a demonstrated interest, capacity and commitment to developskills and knowledge relating to the water and wastewaterindustry.
You will have effectivecommunication skills, both oral and written, the ability to workautonomously and in a team with solid time management andorganisational skills and proven competency with the MicrosoftOffice suite, namely Outlook, Word and Excel, and other corporatesoftware.
