Laboratory Trainer
About the Role
The successful candidate will achieve and maintain operator competency in the laboratory operation. They will manage the training system, including training packages, assessments, and competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop a single training matrix for laboratory teams;
2. Create and manage a training system with standardized work procedures, training packages, and assessments;
3. Participate in needs analysis to determine Laboratory Technician training requirements;
4. Conduct group and individual training sessions;
5. Evaluate Laboratory Technicians' competency through knowledge and hands-on assessments;
6. Maintain and develop Laboratory training systems, documentation, and procedures;
7. Develop area inductions;
8. Provide technical support to Laboratory Technicians;
9. Oversee Laboratory Trainee training.
Candidate Requirements:
* Diploma-level laboratory qualifications or relevant tertiary education;
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessing;
* At least five years of experience as a laboratory technician or relevant industry experience;
* Familiarity with relevant WHS legislation;
* High-level written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.
