Overview
The HSES Advisor will assist with the management and the implementation of the Project Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and ensure compliance with the CBI Management System. The successful project based HSE Advisor will mobilize to the Karratha, WA project site to support our tank construction project for the Perdaman Project Ceres Urea Plant on a FIFO basis (20 days ON and 8 days OFF).
Reporting to the National HSE Manager, this is a dynamic role providing a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Your responsibilities will involve taking the lead in the implementation and coaching of HSE Management Systems and ensuring a firm commitment to continual improvement.
Responsibilities
* Have a forward thinking, pragmatic and strategic approach to HSE in execution with a willingness to drive improvement initiatives
* Assist in the preparation and or review Risk Assessments (HAZID/CRAW, SWMS).
* Ensure all incidents are investigated in detail and entered into CBI Data Management System.
* Conduct reviews of incidents, investigations, reports, inspections, audits and site statistical data to assist in the development of preventative strategies.
* Manage HSE Hazard and Corrective Action Tracking Register to ensure actions have been completed and are closed out.
* Provide technical input and coaching for Project team members during the development of task specific risk assessments.
* Support the onboarding of employees and subcontractors through delivery of induction content.
* Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programs and provide in-field coaching to help further educate workforce.
* Conduct training GAP analysis of employee training attainment and that of positional needs.
* Support project teams in the development of communication material for Toolbox Meetings. Attend these meetings, manage the collation and distribution of minutes of these meetings.
* Prepare and submit all agreed HSE reports relating to CBI and subcontractor activities.
* Facilitate Injury Management and Return to Work process for employees as required.
* Must be a strong communicator and is able to positively engage with external stakeholders, Senior Management representatives and Project employees.
* Facilitate and support in the completion of internal inspections and audits.
* Maintain and monitor CB&I electronic HSE Management platform for general HSE related matters.
Qualifications
* 6+ years of relevant experience on Construction projects essential, in a heavy industrial scope favorable.
* Occupational Health and Safety Qualifications (Diploma and above).
* Cert IV Training and Assessment (not essential).
* Demonstrated knowledge of WHS and relevant statutory regulations.
* Formal training in incident investigation and reporting (Taproot preferable).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a confident presenter.
* Strong collaborative abilities, facilitating effective interaction with clients, colleagues, field workers, and management is essential.
* Current full C class Driver’s license.
* Full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
