The key duties of the position include Leading experienced Australian and locally engaged teams, the General Manager International, Northeast Asia is based within the Australian Consulate General in Tokyo and is a member of a global network that reports to the Austrade Deputy CEO, Trade and Investment who is based in Australia. Working with counterparts in Northeast Asia, Australian state and territory Governments, the role is responsible for: • Contributing to Australia's global reputation by promoting Australian capability in the Northeast Asia region using global objectives and priorities to guide local strategy. • Leading sector-focused trade teams responsible for assisting Australian companies achieve commercial trade outcomes. • Advancing Australia's strengths as a highly attractive destination for investors and securing productive foreign investment into Australia. • Representing Austrade and Australia in a range of high-level corporate and government settings in Australia and across the Northeast Asia region. • As a member of the senior management team, the General Manager will work collaboratively to deliver the Australian Government's trade and investment priorities and contribute to Austrade's broader strategic objectives.
