We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick and Block Layer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining brickwork, blockwork, and other masonry structures for both residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities and Key Duties:Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure correct fit and alignment.Mix and apply mortar or adhesives to bind bricks and blocks together.Construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures.Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.Inspect and test completed work to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.Work collaboratively with team members and other trades on-site.Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and procedures.Assist in the planning and organization of daily work schedules and ensure deadlines are met.Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and labourers as needed.Undertake labouring responsibilities when required.Requirements:Proven experience as a brick and block layer or in a similar role.Ability to read and interpret construction plans.Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions.Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role.
Work visa can be provided for this role.
Expected salary: $74,000 - $84,000 per year.
