About the role
At Selectability, we are seeking passionate and motivated Youth Workers to join our team.
Our youth residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people who have a variety of needs, aiming to promote consistent and stable teams to support their recovery.
As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our children and young people to live their best life.
You will bring a genuine passion and commitment to make a difference in the life of children and young people.
Children and young people may come with high to complex needs, requiring dedicated support and care.
About You
To be successful, you must possess:
* Clear and effective communication skills
* Computer literacy and accuracy in record management
* Ability to follow policies and procedures
* Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster
Role Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
* Hold a minimum of Cert IV qualification recognised under the child safety minimum qualification standards (or be willing to actively study)
* Possess certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (or be able to obtain)
* Have a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence
* Have a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
* Hold first Aid and CPR certificates (or be able to obtain)
* Have a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or be able to obtain)
* Hold NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be able to obtain)
* Complete NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
