Reports to: PDS Australia Digital Solutions Director
Location: Australia, Sydney/Melbourne/Canberra/Brisbane/Adelaide
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and deliver software projects with precision, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Collaborate daily with product managers, BAs, tech leads, developers, and QA teams to define scope, clarify requirements, and keep projects on track.
3. Manage project planning across the product lifecycle—including inputs from sales, product, infrastructure, and DevOps.
4. Identify and mitigate risks proactively, adapting scope, timelines, and costs as needed to keep projects on track.
5. Ensure a high degree of certainty by managing work within a structured waterfall methodology.
6. Lead IT projects related to property management systems, ERP, CRM, and business intelligence platforms.
7. Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
8. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to deliver technology solutions.
9. Oversee data migration, cybersecurity measures, and cloud infrastructure improvements.
10. Monitor project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with IT security and real estate regulations.
11. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project status updates.
12. Optimise IT workflows and recommend new technologies to improve business processes.
About You:
1. 5-8+ years in IT project management, with experience in working on projects for the Department of Defence.
2. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
3. Hands-on experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and certified in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar.
4. Strong agile delivery experience and understanding of frameworks.
5. Managing multiple small to medium-sized projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and client relationships are maintained.
6. Experience with cloud-based platforms, cybersecurity, and data governance, particularly Azure Cloud.
7. Strong relationship management skills, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term engagement.
8. Ability to lead process shifts, balancing project priorities and expectations.
9. Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Microsoft Project, or similar.
10. Strong problem-solving, risk management, and team leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.

Your skillsets will need to align to the ‘Project Management’ category in the SFIA 7 Framework .
