CCQ’s diverse region covers 161,108 km2 from Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton and west to Emerald. The population in the region is just under 1M people with around 68% living regionally or remotely and more than 28% living in the most disadvantaged quintile.CCQ collaborates with the community to provide exceptional primary healthcare services to reduce health inequalities for the region. CCQ has seven key priorities for health improvement: mental health, alcohol and other drugs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, population health, health workforce, digital health and older person’s health.
About the role
The Senior Manager, Regional Programs will lead the implementation of strategic health reform projects in the Sunshine Coast region for CCQ. And has 4 Primary Health Coordinators as direct reports in the corporate head office. They will be responsible for successfully delivering initiatives identified through CCQ's needs assessment, new government-funded programs, or through collaboration and co-design with stakeholders.
The role involves establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including primary healthcare services, Hospital & Health Services, aged care providers, community organisations and educational institutions.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Manager will provide local leadership of programs, projects, contracts and initiatives designed to improve health outcomes in the region. Key responsibilities include working with the Director Integration and other members of the team to foster collaboration, coordination and integrated approaches to service delivery. Experience in the healthcare industry (primary care, disability services or hospital & health services), leading teams, managing relationships and/or managing a portfolio of projects will be highly regarded. This position requires the expertise of an individual who already has a proven background in a senior leadership role. Tertiary qualifications are required.
