About the Role
As a Maintenance Planner, you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and be responsible for planning and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure reliable equipment operation in accordance with standard operating procedures, legislative requirements, Fremantle Ports policy, and rostering arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Control and manage maintenance planning, cost estimating, scheduling, repairs, and maintenance (including inventory and warehouse oversight).
* Maintain, monitor, and report progress against weekly maintenance plans and targets to the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance representatives.
* Review, initiate, and close out maintenance activities within the maintenance planning system, including backlog review and work prioritization.
* Plan and supervise project work, including shut-down work planning, identifying available resources and equipment, and arranging supplementary contract labor when necessary.
* Arrange and coordinate external service provider attendance for site works as required.
Skills and Experience
* Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification.
* Maintenance experience in a heavy industrial, mining, or port environment.
* Experience in developing routine maintenance plans and schedules for bulk material handling equipment.
* Experience in planning and developing shutdown execution plans, including setup, compliance, commissioning, and handback.
* Well-developed organization and planning skills, including the ability to manage diverse tasks concurrently to achieve deadlines.
