About the role
Grampians Health has an exciting opportunity available. We are seeking a dynamic, quality focussed Nurse Unit Manager to lead a highly committed and motivated team in our Central Sterilising Department in Ballarat, with close links with Horsham and Stawell.
* Enjoy the upcoming redevelopment of the Grampians Health Ballarat site with state-of-the-art Operating Suite and Sterilising Department.
* Provide management, leadership and professional expertise to team members working in the CSSD
* Facilitate the development of all staff placed under your responsibility
* Opportunity to deputises for the Director as required
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible and accountable for the daily operational management of the department
* Display strong leadership and communication skills to promote multidisciplinary engagement, team building and a positive workplace culture
* Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate clinical skills acquisition
* Communicate a positive vision for change and supports the team through the change process
Skills & Experience
* Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current practicing certificate
* Previous management experience
* Post graduate qualifications in either management or perioperative services is preferable
* Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary leadership and comprehensive IT skills.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Nurse Unit Manager (NM10 – NM12) which ranges from $64.63 - $69.35 per hour.
