The Opportunity: As part of our portfolio growth, we are seeking Graduates to join the business to work within our Waste Infrastructure Team based in our new office in the West End, Brisbane. The role will predominantly be focused on a range of Waste Management Infrastructure projects including landfills projects (earthworks, cell development, capping systems, evaporation ponds), recycling centres and waste transfer stations. Position duties may include, but are not limited to: Construction Supervision and Quality Assurance; Fieldwork including site investigations and inspections; Feasibility Assessments and financial modelling; Technical input on landfill and containment systems projects; Technical input on Waste Transfer Station and Recycling Facilities design projects; Environmental Approval works; Preparation of Tender Documentation including Construction Specifications and Bills of Quantities; Drainage systems; Road and pavement designs and rehabilitation strategies; Administration and evaluation of tender processes; Application of advanced engineering techniques, procedures, and standards; Preparation of technical reports to document engineering analysis and findings; Supporting senior staff members. About you: Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical or Civil Degree; Ability to do field work including in regional area for continuous periods; Preference to have some field work and consultancy experience; Strong data analysis and reporting skills; Understanding of design of waste management infrastructure particularly landfills; Technical involvement in earthworks, roads, drainage and other public works projects; Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with staff, managers, and clients; Ability to solve problems utilising existing procedures; Proficiency in using engineering design software including AutoCAD (preferable).
