Location: Kwinana, (Perth)
Reports To: Track Superintendent, Aurizon
Remuneration: $150-$200k + 15% Incentive Bonus + Expenses
About the Role: Aurizon is seeking a dedicated and experienced Track and Maintenance Supervisor to lead our track maintenance team based in Kwinana. In this pivotal role, you will oversee infrastructure maintenance and renewal projects across Aurizon’s yards, terminals, and sidings throughout Southern WA. You will be equipped with the tools and resources needed to ensure the smooth operation of our above-rail business and to drive growth initiatives aligned with our objectives. Travel to project sites, both locally and regionally, will be an essential part of this role, with all travel commencing and concluding at your home station.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee Maintenance Work:
o Supervise rail infrastructure maintenance tasks including timber/steel/concrete resleepering, rerailing, turnout construction, ballasting and tamping, as well as rail welding and grinding.
* Team Management:
o Lead and manage a small team to achieve targets, deadlines, and quality standards in line with business goals and milestones.
* Coaching and Development:
o Mentor and support the professional and personal growth of team members.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
o Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
* Qualifications:
o Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (Mandatory).
o Current Class C & HR Driver Licence.
* Experience:
o Extensive background in the rail/track maintenance industry.
* Skills and Attributes:
o Ability to work effectively within a small team and exhibit a flexible, hardworking attitude.
o Strong commitment to safety and an understanding of its critical role in the workplace.
o Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
o Motivated to foster a cohesive team environment and promote an inclusive culture.
o Willingness to travel as required by the role.
