JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the workflow of panel beating and vehicle repairs, ensuring alignment with the Operations Manager’s expectations. Perform panel beating tasks, including reshaping, repairing, and replacing damaged panels to restore vehicles to their original condition. Assess and repair structural damage, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to manufacturer specifications. Restore vehicles to a dent-free state using various techniques, including glue pulling and leveraging, which may require the removal of vehicle lights and interior panels. Cut, weld, grind, and smooth metal surfaces to achieve high-quality finishes. Fill, sand, and prime damaged areas in preparation for refinishing. Conduct body panel replacements and modifications where necessary. Provide expert guidance on panel defects and repair techniques, ensuring the most effective restoration approach is taken. Complete required work orders and confirm all repairs meet high-quality industry standards. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations and efficient repairs. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly handled and stored. Communicate effectively with the team and provide support where needed. REQUIREMENTS 5 years of experience as a Panel Beater, preferabbly with PDR Technician experience. Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Extensive experience in panel repair, replacement, welding, and finishing. Proficiency with PDR techniques and panel beating tools, including hammers, dollies, welders, and pullers. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-quality workmanship. Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines without compromising on quality. Professional, reliable, and an ambassador of the company. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team. Self-motivated, punctual, and dedicated to high industry standards. A valid and clean NSW driver’s license.
