Branch Manager required for our Bowen rural branch. A role well suited to a highly motivated customer service-orientated business individual.

The integrated end-to-end rural solutions package also provides customers with the benefits of utilising Lindsay Transport’s refrigerated fleet to deliver rural supplies to farms and transporting fresh produce direct to major east coast markets.
The Role:
Our Bowen rural branch is looking for its new Branch Manager. This opportunity will see you manage a team of 3. You will be a highly motivated customer service-orientated business leader who is passionate about identifying opportunities for growth and development in our team.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Leadership and Team Development:
1. Provide leadership and direction to the branch team.
2. Motivate employees & set appropriate individual & team performance goals.
3. Conduct performance appraisals.
4. Foster a positive work environment.
Operational & Financial Management:
1. Maximize the efficiency and sales of the branch with a key focus on maintaining margin on products.
2. Develop & maintain strong business relationships with current & potential customers.
3. Work closely with the sales team to generate new opportunities in the district.
4. Participate in trade shows & conventions.
5. Regularly review & control production costs, operational expenses, and overheads.
6. Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately for the branch.
7. Prepare daily, weekly or month-end reports.
About You:
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
1. Established experience in a senior leadership role ideally in the rural sector.
2. A highly motivated, enthusiastic, and positive leadership style.
3. Exceptional customer service & interpersonal skills.
4. Technical and/or sales expertise.
5. High level reasoning, problem solving, and planning skills.
6. Professional presentation with a friendly and helpful manner with an ability to deal effectively with a diverse workforce.
7. Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work.
8. Current & valid Driver’s licence. Current Forklift licence highly regarded.
Knowledge & understanding of products, seasonal timing and general requirements of rural producers within the area advantageous but not essential.
